Because I was in your position too.
Believe it or not, I’ve experienced both sides of the bodyweight dysmorphia spectrum. Starting at 16, I weighed young 140lbs. Quite frankly, I looked like a twig! On the other hand I’ve also been over 200lbs, overweight, eating any and everything in sight.
You see in the past when I looked in the mirror, I let what I saw on the outside evoke a negative dialogue which affected how I felt on the inside. A dialogue I used to disregard and just shrug off . It got to the point where I subconsciously found myself comparing my progress to that of my friends. And even worse, the infatuation that filtered through different platforms on social media.
It wasn’t until after many trial and error that I began to see the results I wanted. But, even then the results I saw wasn’t really enough. You see it was the kind of results sought through cardio and extreme restrictions which was unrealistic, completely unsustainable, and draining. But, I also didn’t know any other way..
This catapulted me into studies, books articles, magazines, particularly any and everything I could get my hands on about training and dieting. Which in turn enabled me to craft a training and dieting system that completely changed my life!
Even better: I started using the same methods I used to reach my sustainable physique to help other driven military men take their physique and lifestyle to the next level!
